VISITORS strolled into Tasputra Perkim in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, as early as 10am for its recent monthly jumble sale.
The jumble sale is a regular fundraising activity by the daycare centre for children, many of whom are physically, mentally or visually disabled. Tasputra Perkim chairman Elahe Norman said it was a small effort but it went a long way in meeting the needs of the centre.
The items on sale ranged from toys and books to clothes and shoes. Elahe said most of the items were donated by people staying near the centre and visitors to the jumble sale were usually from the neighbourhood.
The three-hour event raised RM485.
Tasputra Perkim is at No.3498, Jalan Ampang Hilir 5, off Jalan Ampang. For details, call 03-4251 6100.
