On the occasion of Hari Wanita.
Madam Pouran Derakhshande, an Iranian filmmaker and a producer who came to KL on the screening of her movies, came to visit Tasputra. Unfortunately, children had been sent home by 6.00pm that she came. She loved the ambiance here and she complimented the positive energy all around us. In the house, Mohamad Monib played some songs for her and she clapped to him. We offered her Tasputra famous tea and dates and she said she is very proud of me to run a center for special children of all races. I want to kiss her hand for a woman like her to address all the social issues of modern times in her movies, where she pulled her hand and did not allow me to kiss them. We pray to Allah s.w.t to give Madam Pouran Derakhshandeh more inspiration to do more success full movies. She indeed a DERAKHSHANDEH spot in the 80 millennium's population of most highly educated and advanced nation in making Oscar Winner's movies maker.

Multi sensory stimulation
Tasputra is the first centre in Malaysia to install and actively use this method of therapy. Snoezelen is a multi-sensory environment fitted with state-of-the-art equipment which provides therapy and is also a form of leisure activity. It is designed to stimulate the five senses – sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing – through a unique combination of soothing music, special light effects, gentle vibration, tactile sensation and aromatherapy. Each child has a Snoezelen programme designed for them.
Our Music Therapy session. This has proved to be a great source of entertainment for the children and is very therapeutic.

INDEED WE CELEBRATE OUR CULTURAL DIVERSITY!
Visiting Menara Kuala Lumpur (KL Tower Official) yesterday,
it was an educational outing for children to get to know the landmarks of beautiful Malaysia, to encourage effective communication, to practice memory, to improve their story telling and to explore something new for the children and teachers who were so excited.
WE BELIEVE WHEN THE CHILD IS HAPPY AND EXPLORES WHAT THEY LIKE, THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO LEARN ANYTHING!
We had the most gracious host, Puan Nur, who was with us throughout the visit of the tower and aquarium. We do have a lot of projects like this to teach leadership, education and science to our special children.
We attended Universiti Teknologi MARA's conference "Disability-We Care" in Sungai Buloh,
There was a dental check-up program for the children (disable dental care) by Faculty of Dentistry
We thank all the organizers and students for their good deeds and efforts.
Dashiell is learning to go up and down the stairs.
We said goodbye to Faruk and his family.
Faruk was a special needs refugee child from Myanmar, a Rohingya who was in our centre for around two years. Him and his family were the most grateful people we have ever seen. They left for the united states,
we wish them all the best!

Special education is tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities. The services and supports one child receives may be very different from what another child receives. It’s all about individualization. What’s important is giving kids the resources they need to make progress in school.
